4th of July-Army Style

We had a GREAT 4th. We started out the day with a little running for me and Jer and a little yard work. In the afternoon we headed over to our friend's house (the Andersons) and had lots of yummy food. They had all different styles of hot dogs to eat. It was fun to be able to try different styles. There was Chicago, New York, Carolina and Iowa (corn dogs). Plus Indhi made the BEST cherry apple pie. Indhi is a dessert guru. Any dessert she makes is guaranteed deliciousness.
The kids played on the trampoline, the WII and decorated cookies and dog tags. The adults just chilled and talked. It was fun to just relax and not have the kids bugging me every 2 seconds for a snack.
In the evening we went downtown to the Freedom Festival. The army was putting on a little display. You could go and see all different Army stuff.
Price and Liah on a army fire truck. I love his face, he is such a ham.

Brynlee next to the wheel of the fire truck. She is also a ham, she loves to do dances and loves for everyone to sit and watch.

My nightmare in 10 years-Price driving his sisters around.

You could do pull ups, push ups and sit ups. They also had a video that told all about basic training. Price got to hold a replica of some kind of Army gun, but he got it taken away when he started pointing it at Jeremy. Seriously, why do kids act the worst in public. Like he was raised in a barn.

As we were leaving we got to "spin the wheel" and win a prize. Brynlee got a t-shirt (2xl), Price got a pen. It was a lot of fun. We also got to see the tents that a solider sleeps in and their packs and how heavy they are.
