Man, I've been a slacker lately about posting. I guess I've just been trying to get Christmas stuff done. That combined with the dreaded pink eye I haven't felt much like writing on the old blog.
As for the pink eye it is finally gone. The kids recovered quickly. As for me it went from one eye to the other. So it took awhile, but I'm hoping it has left our house.
On Saturday we ran around like crazy. Price had his last day at basketball. He loved it. They just worked on skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. They did have a little scrimmage on the last day, but it was a joke. Price did really well, he doesn't have that killer competetive instinct, but he had fun and he's getting better everyday.
Then we went to the church for a baptism. Jeremy gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and did a great job. He thought he was giving the talk on Baptism, but plans changed at the last minute. So considering he didn't have anything planned he did awesome.
Later in the afternoon Price and I went shopping so he could get some presents for his sisters. Everything he saw he wanted to buy, but we did manage to find something in his budget that I think the girls will like. Plus it was fun to have some one on one time with him, it doesn't happen very often.
We had a bit of a storm on Saturday, but that didn't stop me from going to Bunco night with the girls. It's a once a month thing where the girls get together to play this fun game and eat treats. Any excuse to have a night out right? It's a great time and just nice to get away for a little bit.
On Sunday it was cold and the roads were icy so church was cancelled. Normally this would be a good thing, but I'd just finished getting ready for Sharing Time when I got the call. After lunch the day just seemed to drag by. I swear that there were about 3 extra hours added to the day. But we survived and I'm hoping we don't have too many more snow days like that this year.
Today Brynlee was at playschool, Price was at school so I did the final push and got the rest of my Christmas shopping done. Everything is bought. Presents are wrapped. Packages are mailed and treats are cooked. Now I can sit back and relax and enjoy the holiday season. Especially since we have a few parties coming up in the next few days.
