Grandpa & Grandma Terri & Ayden visit

Last Thursday Jeremy's dad and stepmom came into town for a few days.  They brought along her granddaughter, Ayden, for a a visit.  On Thursday Price's school had their night at the Kernal's baseball game.  Price was chosen to be one of the people to throw out the first pitch.  Pretty exciting for the kid, we have no idea how he managed it.

 So professional looking.
It was of course the coldest night all week.  It was windy and in the 40s. So by the fifth inning I was frozen so we left.  Plus the kids weren't that into watching the game.  We stayed for Price to do his thing and to have some snacks so I guess that's what counts.

On Friday we took everybody down to North Liberty to the Devonian Fossil park.  It all used to be buried but after the 1993 flood and the 2008 flood all these fossils and rock were uncovered so you can go see them and they have little pools full of tadpoles.  In the first 5 minutes I leaned down and dropped my camera in one of those mossy, tadpole filled pools and it is now kaput.  So there are no pictures fromt he rest of our weekend.  Jeremy's dad took some so hopefully he'll send them to me and then I can post them.

After the fossils we went to the Raptor Park.  They have all different kinds of birds that are disabled and unable to live in the wild.  So they are on display and we had a fun being outside and letting the kids run free.

Of course later on we had to go back to Grandpa and Grandma's hotel and swim for awhile.  The kids swam and swam and had so much fun together.

On Saturday morning Brynlee had her dance recital.  She did such and great job and she looked so cute.  Bad mom for breaking the darn camera.  Some of the girls had no clue what was going on during the dance, but Bryn knew just what to do and helped some of the other girls to remember the steps.  Of course I'm not biased, but she was the best dancer there.

Gena came to the recital too and after we went to CiCi's Pizza to eat.  She knowing about Jeremy's cheapness brought along her own bottle of Mio so she could make her water into fruit punch.  It made me laugh, she is always cracking jokes like this and making us laugh.

We had a great weekend with G &G and are sad they are already gone.  Our fun included:
-Chuck E. Cheese's (or Chunky Cheese if you are a Hodson male)
-Red Lobster for the adults
-playing at the park
-lots of pool swimming at the hotel
-eating way too much food, but having so much fun with family

We love having family come and visit.  It was nice to just relax and spend time together, but we did run around and keep busy.  So today I'm just chillin and catching up on laundry.
