Hodson family fun night and Conference

Jeremy and I read that article in the March Ensign about preparing your kids for Conference and decided we wanted to do something special Conference weekend eventhough our kids are still too young to listen to Conference. We want to make sure they know that this is a special occasion and it can also be fun.
So Friday night we had a Hodson Family Fun Night. I think we like any excuse to have these though. We went to eat at a Mexican restaurant. And little Brynlee is just like her mom, she loves chips and salsa and beans and rice. She is such a funny girl. And a HFFN would not be complete without a trip to Wal-mart where we got Bolt out of the Redbox and headed home to watch our movie and eat some snacks.
This morning we made a special breakfast (these days anything besides cereal is special) and then watched Conference. In between the session we worked on our food storage (wahoo!). It was a day filled with excitement. So here's our buckets of food just waiting for the dry ice to dissolve so we can seal them and put them away.
We had a little extra dry ice so Jer impressed the kids with its magic by putting it in some punch. As you can see Price is so excited (he just woke up and won't be full speed for at least 30 min.) But Bryn enjoyed it and Jer wondered why it made the punch taste funny. A fun a busy day and hopefully a tradition we can continue...

Look at all that storage! You go girl! You're so cute to make it fun.

How was Bolt? I thought about getting it for the boys for Easter, but wondered if it was worth it.
