Geocaching

We have found a new past time this summer called geocaching.  It is super fun and free!  We are horrible at it though but that doesn't stop us from trying.  Basically it's a scavenger hunt using the GPS on your phone.  We've found a few, we've not found a few but we've had fun trying.

Even when we don't find them we still get to see amazing scenery.

Brynlee Turns 7!

Our little Brynlee turned 7!  I can't believe how old she is getting.  We had a small shin dig for her, nothing elaborate but she had a great time.

Liah painted faces.  We had the Renshaws and the Andersons over for a little party.
Then we went to the park to do a piƱata and to play.  We locked ourselves out of the house after so we played a little more until Indhi came to the rescue.
That night we had dinner with the Andersons and ate Brynlee's cake that was shaped like a penguin.  I love her face here.

In the morning she got to go to Build a Bear with Liah and Indhi and she had such a great time.  She got some Barbie Legos, an Olaf doll, a Slurpee maker, a lamp and some hair glitter.  A great day for our super sweet Bryn!

Lava Hot Springs

My favorite part of our trip was going camping at Lava Hot Springs.  We had so much fun.  We went to the pool one day, we floated on the river another and hung out and had such a relaxing time.

The girls eating hot chocolate.  Chris did all the cooking and it was so good.
 Crazy kids in the car
 Good time vacationing.

Riding horses with grandpa and Remingont

Another tradition is going up to Grandpa's property in Ashton and spending the night then riding horses the next day.

Kylee got to go on a little ride
Price and Brynlee went on a longer ride with Grandpa, Jeremy and Remington.

Everybody ready to go.  the kids had a great time and love riding horses!  They talk about it all year long.

Idaho Falls Zoo

A trip to IF wouldn't be complete without a stop by the Tautphaus Zoo.

Brynlee has quite the impressive wing span.

We even got to see an animal show.  They showed hissing cockroaches, a tarantula, a ferret, a bird (a small one from the falcon family. I can't remember which) and a hedgehog.  The kids even got to go up and the end and touch some of them.  I love the IF zoo because it has enough stuff to keep you interested but you aren't spending all day there either.

Walkin on the Ricer

IDAHO!

Brynlee posing by the pond at Grandma and Grandpa's house
The kids love playing outside and looking for water snakes at Grandpa and Grandma's house.
Sunday morning before church we went down to the river and walked around.  We found lots of fun things to pose by for pictures.
