Mardi Gras

A couple of Wed each month the kids get out early from school.  The library has a program on those days that we go to.  On this particular Wed they learned about Mardi Gras.

 

They got to make masks and eat King Cake.  The girls also were given these cool masks.

Price's tooth

Price has lost so many teeth on his upper jaw and only this one giant tooth has grown in.  We like to tease him about is tooth and that he looks like he's from Arkansas.

You can clearly see that Price has a goofy sense of humor and that he likes to joke around constantly.  He is our comedic relief.  We love this guy!

Blue and Gold Banquet

At the end of February we had the Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet.  Price was the Speaker.  The guy that calls the Color Guard forward and leads the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.  It was so cool to see him up there being in charge.  He is a great kid and not shy at all.

 

He earned a belt loop and some other awards.  he also made the butterfly you can see for me.

 We had dinner and the boys put on skits.  They had made puppets and told jokes.  Price loves cub scouts and is doing really well at it.

Valentine's Day

I always like to get the kids a little Valentine's Day gift.  They got these lip whistles and some candy.

That night I took the kids to see a play of 'the Jungle Book'.  It was pretty cute and for a dollar a piece you can't beat that.  Before the play started they had some kids up on stage and play some games.  Price went up and got to roar like a gorilla and beat his chest like one. It was fun.

I would love to tell about the great gift Jeremy got him and all he did to spoil me, but that would be a lie. I guilted him into getting me something while me and the kids went to the play.  Such a romantical day ;/

Elder Sites

Elder Sites left Cedar Rapids and here we are when we had our last dinner with him.

We liked to tease him because anytime it was cold he would be all covered up with only his glasses showing.  When I told him it build character he would say that he had enough character already.

Jeremy would always try to give the missionaries milk with dessert, but Elder Sites doesn't like milk.  Jer would always forget and still try to get him to drink some milk.  It was pretty funny.

Brynlee's missing tooth

Brynlee lost one of her font teeth.  She is the best kid to have with loose teeth.  She lets me yank on it until it finally comes out.  Unlike Price who just wants it to fall out on its own.
