Rowen's Baptism

We went to Indiana a day early this year (huge for Jeremy considering he doesn't usually take much time off of work :) ) so we could be there for Rowen's baptism.  He was the last of the Williams clan to be baptized.

It was nice to have so much family there.  And of course Elly is making silly faces.  It wouldn't be a family photo without them.
This was an attempt to do our yearly family picture.  But it didn't turn out like I wanted (i.e. I looked ugly) so we chose one from the trampoline park.
My silly kiddos love to pose for pics.
Price and Rowen.  What handsome guys.
Other highlights of our Thanksgiving include: watching Bailee and Elly play basketball and yelling ridiculously loud for them.
Having basketball and ping pong tournies in the basement.  I beat Jeremy in both (woot woot!)
Our annual four square tourney after Thanksgiving dinner.
Me trying to take a nap and it being the scandal of the weekend.
Daily 3 mile runs.
Seeing our family and having a great time.
Learning that Tim can give Botox to people.  I don't think I am brave enough to let him inject me with poison.

Trampoline Fun

More pics of our Trampoline fun.

Brynlee doing a pose
 Price and Rowen playing basketball.
Price was very excited in this one.

After we played on the trampolines we went and ate at Culver's for lunch.  Then we headed home to get ready for Rowen's baptism.

Thanksgiving

We continued our Thanksgiving tradition of going to Indiana to the Williams.  I really take it for granted all the work and prep that Kristin puts in to hosting us, but I am very appreciative of their hospitality.  we had a GREAT time.
This year Tim and Kendra came with their kids, along with Kendra's sister, Karen.  Biff's brother Skip and his wife Bonnie were there along with my parents. It was a full house, but it was so fun to see everyone and my kids had a blast with all their cousins.

One day we went to Indianapolis to this fun trampoline park.  It was probably more fun for the bigger kids, but my kids still got in on the action and had fun.
Kylee's favorite was jumping in the foam pit.
Brynlee in her new "uniform".  She loves wearing workout type clothes.  A little blurry, but she was busy juming
Outfit chosen by Kylee, she is too cute for words

School Program

It had been a particularly busy day; I picked up the girls from school, taught YouthFit, picked up Price and was headed home at 5:20pm.  We drove by the school when Price told me he had to be in the cafeteria by 5:45pm so he could do his solo.  My response was "huh, what?"  I had no idea that he had a concert that night.  So we hurried home had some cereal and got back to the school by 5:45 (Jeremy was of course out of town; probably eating at Buffalo Wild Wings or something).

Thankfully the program was only about 25 minutes long.  But Price did indeed have a solo and I am so proud of him, he did great.

He has on the red striped shirt.  They sang songs about how education rocks!

Livestrong and YouthFit

It's been a busy fall for me teaching at the YMCA.  I taught another session and Livestrong at the YMCA.  We had a great group and I really learned a lot as an instructor.  I love teaching this class and enjoy all the experiences these ladies have to offer and all they teach me.

I also taught a class called Youth Fit that is for kids 8-16.  It actually turned out really fun.  We had a pretty consistent group of about 12-17 kids.  It went really good.  On the last day one kid did freak out and throw a scooter, but other than that they were fun to be around.

Preschool Field Trip

I don't know why I get myself into these situations, but it's my own fault.  I need a reminder of the next time I volunteer for a field trip to rethink and remember this experience.

Kylee's class was going to the pumpkin farm.  Normally it is a super fun place to go, but it's expensive and the Hodsons are too cheap to go on their own dime.  So any chance we can to go when someone else is paying is high on my list of things to do.

We have had a great fall and the weather has been pretty good, but wouldn't you know it that the day of the field trip it was super cold and rainy.

On the bus with Jaidyn and Kylee
A happy moment before all the drama and misery began.....
The bus driver took a route to the pumpkin farm that I had never been and I was super excited because it was a lot faster than the way I've been.  But it was rainy and cold and the last few miles were on gravel road.  The road was a slippery, muddy mess.  The bus was swerving and sliding all over the road.  I seriously thought we were going to end up in the ditch.

But luckily we made it to the farm, you think that would be it and we'd have a great day.  But you'd be wrong.  It was so cold and rainy and all the activities were outside.  I just wanted to turn around and go home right then, but we stayed and froze and had a miserable time for another hour and a half.  Thankfully they did cut it short and we got to leave and we went another (safer) way home.  But I did not take any pictures because a) I was far too cold and b) it was not worth ruining my camera in the rain to remember this bad field trip.

Halloween

It's about time I updated the activities of the Hodson family.  Jeremy has been travelling a lot lately and it seems all I can do is keep my head above water.  So blogging has taken a back seat (as it usually does).

We carved up some pumpkins.  Jeremy was gone as I recall, but the kids drew their own faces on the pumpkins and then I carved them.  They even cleaned the insides out themselves.  We also skipped going to the pumpkin farm and just bought them at Wal-Mart.  Sigh, sorry kids.
It seems like Halloween lasts a week with all the different activities we had going on.  There was the school Halloween carnival, the YMCA party, Trunk or Treat and finally Trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Brynlee was a vampire (Mavis from Hotel Transylvania), Kylee was a princess fairy and Price was a skeleton.  Price had been wanting this jacket for months and he finally earned it for good behavior.  Now he wears it 24/7 and really likes to embarrass me by zipping it all the way of wherever we go.  Watch out Price for my payback one day.
At the church's trunk or treat the girls got their faces painted.  Yet again going solo because Jeremy was out of town.  For some reason he always seems to be gone for trunk or treat, I think it's a conspiracy.
